Adroit Limited ("we", "us", "our") operates the AssetTrack platform, accessible at assettrack.cloud and via our mobile applications. We provide asset cataloguing and tracking software for businesses.
If you have any questions about this policy or wish to exercise your privacy rights, contact us at privacy@assettrack.cloud.
If you join an organisation's account as a guest via a scan-to-join session, we collect your scan activity for the duration of that session. Guest sessions expire automatically and access is revoked at session end.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes.
We use the following sub-processors to operate the platform:
| Provider | Purpose | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Microsoft Azure | Cloud hosting, database, file storage, email delivery | Australia East |
| Anthropic | AI-powered asset enrichment and OCR (optional feature) | USA |
| Carjam | Vehicle registration, WoF and RUC lookups (vehicle compliance feature) | New Zealand |
| Mapbox | Satellite and street map imagery. Receives the map area being viewed and your IP address. | USA |
| OpenStreetMap Foundation | Converts coordinates into street addresses for trip and stop reports. Receives those coordinates. | EU |
GPS tracker data is received and processed on infrastructure we operate ourselves within Microsoft Azure (Australia East). It is not relayed through a third-party telematics provider.
Each sub-processor is contractually bound to process data only as instructed and in accordance with applicable privacy law.
AssetTrack requests access to your device's GPS location when you scan assets. This is used solely to record where an asset was scanned. You may deny location permission — scanning will still work but no location will be recorded.
If you use the vehicle tracking feature, location data is collected continuously from hardware GPS trackers fitted to your vehicles. This data is visible only to authorised users within your organisation.
Vehicle tracking runs on dedicated hardware fitted to the vehicle. It does not use your phone's location, and it continues to operate whether or not the AssetTrack app is installed or running on any device.
Where the fitted tracker supports it, we also record harsh braking and acceleration, cornering, speed against posted limits, and suspected collision events. This is used to produce safety reporting for the organisation that operates the vehicle.
If you drive a vehicle tracked by your employer: that organisation, not Adroit Limited, decides to collect this data and is responsible for telling you about it. Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, an employer must inform staff that vehicle tracking and driver monitoring are in place. You may ask us for a copy of the data held about you, and we will direct your request to the organisation that controls it. See section 9.
We do not use driving behaviour data for any purpose other than providing reporting to that organisation. We never sell it, share it with insurers or enforcement agencies on our own initiative, or use it to make automated decisions about any individual.
The app requests camera access to:
The app requests microphone access solely to record video notes. We do not access your camera or microphone at any other time.
Photos and videos you capture are stored in your organisation's secure storage and are accessible only to authorised users within your organisation.
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:
